This 1 hour class is suitable for all-levels. In this class, you'll learn classic club-style movements from a working dancer, developing sensual effortless transitions and powerful skrippa movements.

TURNS & PIROUETTES ( All levels )
-Heels required-

This 1 hour class is suitable for all-levels. In this class, you’ll learn a variety of pirouettes and turns straight from the club. You’ll be working on the intricate movements & body placements required to make those pirouettes look and feel effortless.

CLACKS AND DROPS ( All levels )
-Heels & kneepads recommended-

Time for DRAMA!! This 1 hour class is suitable for all-levels. In this class, you'll learn classic club-style drops & clacks from a working dancer. You'll be working on how to transition to the floor from different heights, and utilising ankle work in order to achieve the best clacks. Clack and drop into this class!

HALLOWEEN HARD STYLE ( Beginners + )
-Heels or boots & kneepads optional-

This 1 hour class is suitable for students who have pole experience (Beginners to Advanced). In this class, you'll learn a fast paced, dynamic, filthy hard style routine from your favourite vampire XRIPPA.

Time for DRAMA!! Whether you wanna drop from the top of the pole or from a standing position, Quinn will teach you their favourite drops and slides down the pole with the safest of landings and proper technique. These movements will be taught in a way you can actively add them to your pole bank, with regressions and progressions for all.

Bringing their favourite sequences straight from the club to the studio, This class focuses on seduction and flow as their core elements, embodying dance elements like leg waves, body waves, grinds and many more. With a range of progressions and regressions, there will be something for everyone!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Hi everyone! Matilda and Mya here, we've got a bittersweet announcement to share with you all.

As of this month, Mya will be stepping down from co-ownership of the studio to focus on her career. She'll still be instructing classes through February + March, and will then be around for occasional class cover with Gemini. If you want to catch classes with Mya, check out the March schedule on TeamUp!

As you know, we took the huge step together in taking over Gemini Pole Studio from Luke back in Nov 2024, alongside our incredible instructor Quinn.

It's been an incredible 15 months, we've brought you new classes, hosted workshops, celebrated our students' progress with a Summer Student Showcase, and grown together as business partners and friends. I (Matilda) am very lucky to have had Mya by my side, working together making the cogs turn behind the scenes to bring you everything 'pole'. Gemini will continue to deliver inclusive pole classes to you all, and we wish Mya all the best <3

Mya will be teaching Heels Choreo, Strength and Conditioning, and some Intermediate classes in March, so make sure you book in!

Last but certainly not least we have the wonderful @spinthatquinn joining the new team 😍😍 Quinn will be joining Gemini as an Instructor:

Hi! My name is Quinn (pronouns they/them) and I’ll be taking on the role of instructor at Gemini! With a special love for teaching beginners, I started my pole journey in 2020 and achieved my teaching certification in 2022. My aims in class are to provide a positive, encouraging environment for students to build a solid foundation in pole as well as having a fun time. You can count on a giggle in a class with Quinn! In addition to this, my personal aims are to give extra support for trans and enby students to come and try pole. Entering classes can be intimidating for queer folk and as a queer instructor it is my priority to make it a comfortable space for everyone to improve their pole skills!

Big Gemini welcome to your first new Co-Owner, @matildapoles 😍 watch out for Matilda shadowing classes next week:

My name is Matilda (she/they) and I’m so excited to be the new co-owner of Gemini Pole Studio alongside my good friend Mya. I’ve been enjoying coming to Luke’s classes since 2020, and always feel such a friendly, safe, and encouraging energy from this space, even during online classes from my bedroom!

A bit about my pole story, I’ve been doing pole for just over 5 years and have been instructing group and private pole classes for just over 3 years. My favourite thing about teaching is sharing the joy and celebration with my students, watching their confidence and love for pole grow over time!

Mya and I have known eachother for as long as we’ve poled together and I can’t think of anyone better to be taking on the Gemini with. I feel so honoured to be keeping Gemini going and super excited to be instructing you all!

Matilda is also the current Head Teacher of Sussex PoleSoc! 😍

Hello to all our lovely Gemini students 🥰

If you are newer here, I’m Luke, owner of Gemini Pole Studio since August 2018 and Pole teacher of 10 years.

I wanted to let you all know, that after a lot of soul searching, I have decided that at the end of 2024 I am going to step down as owner of Gemini Pole Studio, and also cease teaching in Brighton. This decision has been extremely hard to come to, but there are several reasons.

By then I will have been running Gemini for over 6 years. Alongside full time 9-5 jobs, my wonderful partner Dan and I have run classes almost every week of those 6 years (in one year we taught 49 out of 52 weeks!). I have loved every second of it, but to be honest I’m tired!

The 6-year mark, for me, has coincided with a few things. I’ve turned 30, I’m wanting to go into my next decade with more free time to spend with Dan and friends, and in exploring new interests. It’s always been my intention to use the revenue from the studio for something important, and now that we have our wedding coming up, I’ve achieved that purpose. I’m also coming to terms with the fact that I cannot keep up this pace. 😂 👨‍🦳

With the option of making Gemini a full-time job/studio not being financially viable for me for several reasons, the options are to carry on teaching as I am forever, or let it come to an end.

I have struggled monumentally with this decision as I hate the thought of taking these classes away. I know they mean a lot to so many, and letting people down is my biggest fear. The studio and students are also such a massive part of my identity and purpose that it’s scary to let that go.

This is why I’ve decided to announce the plans now, so that our fabulous students can use the time between now and the end of 2024 to experiment with other studios, find new teachers they love, and work out what’s best for you and your Pole journey.

Hosted in the stunning main hall at BHASVIC college, you can create any routine you like! Any length, any style, any vibe to showcase your amazing talents! Closer to the time, Gemini will host plenty of rehearsal sessions so you can go out on the stage feeling confident and powerful. And it’s not just Pole! Contortion? Burlesque? Chair dancing? Anything goes. 😈
